La Hacienda Links Golf Resort has received international recognition for its five-star golf experience after winning the coveted Silver Flag Destination accolade at 59club Europe’s inaugural Service Excellence Awards.
The award recognises outstanding customer service in the golf industry and Fernando Padrón, golf general manager at La Hacienda, and the resort’s sales & marketing director, Ana Berbel Rendón, were on hand to receive the leading honour at a glittering prize-giving ceremony at Camiral Golf & Wellness on March 14.
59club’s prestigious Service Excellence Awards recognise the outstanding teams and managers within the golf industry which consistently deliver the finest customer experiences for their members and guests – covering all aspects of golf and hospitality operations.
All venues nominated were assessed and scored through a detailed and objective mystery shopping programme that covered a 12-month period throughout 2023, with properties evaluated by the experience afforded to guests, members and prospective members against objective benchmarking criteria.
Padrón said: “When it comes to rating golf customer service, 59club is the industry benchmark so to receive this award makes everyone at the resort very proud. The 59club accolade is the second prestigious international honour that La Hacienda Links Golf Resort has won within the last six months after the resort’s redesigned Links course was named ‘Best Golf Course in Spain’ at the World Golf Awards last October.
